Worship Outside Walls 2012

Worship Outside the walls is a way to fulfill out mission statement of glorifying God by sharing Christ, discipling believers and serving others.

On Sunday, April 15th, First United Methodist Congregation had the opportunity to worship with and serve our community.

"We are called to be sent out by God. By serving others in our community, we not only help them but we help ourselves by the joy we feel in service and our need to be reminded of our daily walk with Jesus.

If evangelism is indeed something we believe is important, then stepping out in our community is required.

We need this to remind us that worship is not just what we do while within our church building, but is the ongoing way we conduct our lives with other people, some of whom are fellow believers and some who may not be.

Taking worship to homebound members is such a privilege and a responsibility for our church family and means so much to them and us. "

We are proud to have partnered with surrounding ministries and community.

What's Next? Worshiping Together Continues:

We will gather Sunday, April 29th at noon in the Family Life Center over lunch to and share our individual WOW experiences. This will be a great time in growing with one another as we listen and speak of all God accomplished on WOW Sunday and how we were able to be a blessing (and blessed the same!).
We will worship, listen and marvel.
What a privilege to be the hands and feet of Christ and a light unto our community. This is the second part of worship. Let us not giving up meeting together and encouraging one another, as the Word says:

Hebrews 10: 23-25
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
